Roxy is doing much better with her biting.  She's not happy with me but in the end she'll be fine.  She can now sit and stay with hand signals.  When I feed her I don't have to signal her to stay she does it on her own.  As soon as I say "ok" she eats /and or drinks.  She's come a long way in the short time that we've had her.  The novelty has not worn off for the kids.  They love to take her out and feed her.  Hannah was so concerned tonight as I had Roxy's bed in the wash and Hannah was concerned that she wouldn't be comfortable tonight without her bed.  She offered to give Roxy one of her pillows.  As you know we had the snow last weekend and Roxy loved it.  At first she didn't quite know what to do but then she jumped in.  She loves to play with Simon (the white boxer next door).  She was really afraid of him but now when she sees him she goes after him to play.

Roxy has officially outgrown the comfort of lying under  our kitchen chairs.  Her body barely fits so she just puts her head under. she is really growing...quickly.  Unfortunately she still doesn't have control over her legs and it is absolutely hysterical to see her trying to get somewhere.....fast.  She usually goes tumbling, if she could laugh at herself I think she would.  She learned to sit today and we're working on staying at feeding time.  It gets pretty ugly when you get in the way of her food and water, but she's learning.  The kids are sharing the responsibilities and sometimes fights over who's going to take her out.  I told them I could wake them up at night and let them take her out....that didn't go over to well.  Hannah said I do a better job of taking her out at night than she does.  Ha! Ha!  Roxy continues to bond with us and amaze us with her intelligence and humor.  I have to admit I was apprehensive upon arriving at your house but I can't imagine life without her.  Talk to you soon.

Sorry I haven't been in touch,  been just a little busy.  Roxy continues to improve and amaze us with her personality.  She is definitely a clown and a lover.  Hannah has taken over the "mommy" duties.  She makes sure she has been fed and her face is clean and she has all her toys.  Nathan makes sure she gets plenty of play time.  Roxy has a ritual every night and morning of tucking the kids into bed and waking them up every morning with her wet kisses.  She definitely fits into our family and we couldn't be happier. I'll send updated pics soon. Kim

We hit a milestone today, Roxy is now getting in her crate all by herself.  I panicked because I couldn't find her and she was in her crate.  Yahoo! She's sooo smart
!

Roxie likes her crate now, and even goes in on her own.  After a week of me sleeping on the couch and Roxy next to me in her crate, we've now moved back up to the bedroom and the comfort of my bed.  She did very well, as long as I keep the bathroom fan on for "noise".  Last night she got up 3 times.  Time to go out!!  Talk to you soon!

Hi Pat, Wow!!  her personality is really starting to come through.  She is a mess!!  We just sit and laugh at her.  What a comedian she is!!  She's doing really well at night and is continuing to ring the bell to go out and poop.  The pee thing keeps me really busy!!  I take her in the car everyday (in the crate) so she can get use to the car.  I'll keep you posted.   :)

Roxie did very well last night, instead of going out 1 1/2 hrs she went out every 2-21/2 hrs.  In fact this morning, she woke me up as I forgot to set the alarm after the last time I took her out.  And no whining in her crate.

The kids are thoroughly enjoying Roxie.  I think Hannah faked being sick today so she could stay at home and play with her.  She actually fell asleep in Roxy's bed with her for about 1 1/2 hours.  Every time I'm outside with her, a neighbor will come running over.  It's funny, we've lived here for 13 years and I've met some neighbors that I didn't even know lived here.  Roxy continues to do great.  She's learning to ring a bell to let me know she's needs to go out.  Today was the first time she did it and actually got outside and pooped.  I was such a proud Mom!  :)

Roxy is doing just fine.  She has christened our kitchen and thankfully the front yard and  as well.  She is so playful and quite the funster.  She and Nathan got into a tickle match and I think Roxy won.  The picture turned out great.  I've e-mailed it to everyone I know.

Thank you so much!  I thoroughly enjoyed our visit today.  Seeing all those puppies was so much fun.  You have beautiful dogs and adorable puppies.  It must be very rewarding to have these sweet peas in your home.  Roxy was very nervous on the way home, poopied in her crate but we (no I got her ) cleaned up and she's exhausted!!  She had some dinner, playtime and now she's resting comfortably in her bed.  The kids are so excited and Hannah has been very intent on making sure that she's comfortable.   It's going to be a long couple of nights, but she's worth it.  I promise I will call when I have questions and I will send pictures.  Hope you have a good week.
